NSG 353 Passport to Integration

COURSE DESCRIPTION:This course examines the intentional connection of concepts explored in nursing coursework andexperiential activities. Active inquiry, self-reflection, and engagement in interprofessional educational opportunities foster the ongoing development of clinical reasoning, professional nursing practice, and interprofessional relationships.

COURSE OBJECTIVES: Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  1. (Interprofessionalism) Explore the application of knowledge from the humanities, interprofessional education, and natural/behavioral sciences in the provision of holistic nursing care.
  2. (EBP) Explore concepts of nursing theory in the planning and evaluation of care for clients.

  4. (Technology & Safety) Identify the importance of shared knowledge, experience, and resources among health professionals for the provision of safe care.
  5. (Leadership) Identify elements of reflective practice, appreciative inquiry, and effective communication across the spectrum of health in multiple settings/client populations.
  6. (Self-care) Identify principles of self-care that represent values inherent in the profession of nursing.
  7.
